Maleficent has turned out to be quite the looker! She is a compact girl and isn't overly large. She does have a nice spring of bone and fiber that is a beautiful dark black/blue tipped in white.
When we purchased her with her dam, Mamie, we had no idea what beautiful, blue-looking fleece she would produce. She is ultra-soft, a trait she inherited from her mom. She also has great confirmation and the potential to throw the color that we love so much -grey!
Her sire, Nehushtan, is a grandson of the well-known Aussie Rockford. He is a multi-ribbon winning male and has produced champion offspring. He is a stunning, deep medium rose grey that is almost purple. He boasts great density, and his fiber is extremely fine with a beautiful, tiny crimp structure. He has large bone and great coverage. Other lineage includes CAA Valiente, Danko, and Accoyo Felix.
Maleficent's dam, Mamie, is a gorgeous medium silver grey with an impressive lineage behind her. She is large and stately with strong confirmation. Her fleece is exceptionally soft, and she has consistent coloring with a solid blanket. Her lineage includes the great 5Peruvian Silverado and 6Peruvian Dom Timbo.
For a Fall 2018 cria, Maleficent has been exposed to Duke of Wakeman's Royal Highness, a champion male with big bone and a dense, dense fleece. He should compliment her well.
She has not been confirmed. If she didn't take, she can be re-bred to any of Elderwood's herdsires.
