Pippi is very unique and consistently creates one-of-a-kind offspring. She's a compact animal with strong bone. She sports a nice fleece with a soft hand, as well as consistency throughout her varying colors. Temperament wise, she's extremely easy going - another awesome trait she's been passing on to her kids.
Now, let's get to the good part - her color pattern! She's hard to miss with those stark white front legs and cute little speckled feet. She starts dark (nearly black) in her muzzle, which continues through her top knot and down her back. Under her chin, she sports a freckled white patch that leads down into her chest which varies from beige and shades of fawn moving into her darker blanket. Within her blanket, it's easy to also identify varying colors in different swirls and spotting throughout. She gets her funky color attributes from her sire, Vintage Peruvian Confetti. This guy also had a white leg - with white legs being something he passed onto many of his offspring. She's truly a standout in the herd!
Pippi his here to stay for the foreseeable future. We also hope to retain a daughter or two out of this phenomenal girl at some point. Stay tuned on her continued production!
Wow - this guy is out of this world! Rocky is not only appealing to the eye with his catchy color, but he's also built like a tank. This handsome harlequin is a home run when it comes to color production. He comes from a long lineage of funky spots and colorations, and he's bound to continue that legacy. Check out his sire, dam, and full siblings pictured here as well.
It's hard to speak much about his fleece characteristics this early in the game, but he is covered from head to toe with a hodgepodge of varying colored fleece. Conformationally, he is well built. If he's anything like his two full siblings, we can expect a nice, stocky frame with exceptional fleece coverage and an extra cute, full face.
His genetic color component will definitely be one of his strongest points as he moves into the breeding world. His sire, Illini's Deuce's Wild, is a wildly marked harlequin wild card who went through quite the transformation as he matured. Check out his cria vs. adult photos - it's a mind-boggling transition for sure! We absolutely love his dam, Illini's Pippi, and feel privileged to have her in our herd. She's quite fancy as well with her stark white front legs and mottled body coloration.
Yes, Rocky is available and ONLY because we own his full brother and his dam. We'd love to see him join a herd focused on the continuation of advancing multi-colored fleeces. We will likely retain a few breedings on this guy when the time comes for him to go to his new home.
He will receive free board until he is weaned and will leave the farm halter trained, registered, BVDV tested, and microchipped. If you don't already have alpacas or weanling males at the time, we are happy to also offer a companion close to his age. Since we've already received several offers on this guy, we are trying to figure out the best way to offer him out. Most purchases come with 60 days free board or free board until weaning.
Nationwide, affordable transporters come by the farm several times a year. We can also meet at shows or along the way.
